Formed in London, England in the early 1980s, Re-Flex were among the first bands to combine rock and pop with guitars and electronics. They toured Europe and America and became one of the early successes of MTV as through this and other networks their videos were seen all over the world. Widely known for the EMI and Capitol Records album and single, The Politics of Dancing, as they became hits in many territories and topped the US Billboard dance chart, the success gained Re-Flex an international wealth of new fans. Other tracks from the album were released as singles and extended 12” mixes, and although the follow up Humanication was announced and scheduled, it was never released and withdrawn without explanation. Re-Flex recorded a lot of other material that previously has never been available, including songs performed live in various radio sessions for the BBC and Capitol. They also produced tracks for some major films including the multi-platinum soundtrack Breakdance and for the film Superman IV. Some were available as bootlegs and along with their other official releases have since become rare collector’s items.
“Movement of The Action Fraction” features the bands original line up and first studio recordings. “Music Re-Action” is a compilation of 12” mixes, B sides and tracks for an EP. “Jamming The Broadcast” is the last album Re-Flex recorded together and includes 14 new songs. The box set “Re-Fuse” has a special album of songs and rare versions of tracks.

Although Re-Flex never disbanded they have not performed or recorded together since but through the internet have acquired a cult following of devoted fans from all over the world, including many who were not born when these tracks were released and known as the “The Action Fraction”. After years of waiting all of the recordings have been re-mastered and there are six CDs available individually or within the box set “Re-Fuse” and the site also now offers mp3 downloads. To support the release new versions of videos have been produced, with more planned.
